Trippin'

......road trippin' that is.

I absolutely love car rides. If I made a list of things I love, it'd probably go something like this:

1. Car Rides
2. Thunderstorms
3. Cute Underwear
4. Sunsets
5. Sundays

I love how the road moves fast, the trees and scenery move slow, and the sky is almost constant. I love how I can plug in my headphones and just think.

Sometimes I sit with my camera to the window and snap pictures of scenery. I watch as the landscape shifts from clusters of trees to rows of fields.

I watch people in their cars, studying their movements until we slowly depart by a change of lanes or difference in speeds.

I love when the interstate intersects with a town or city, providing a change of scenery. After hours of forests and farms, I'm mesmerized by the sight of civilization.

Anyways.

Have a fabulous Friday.

Merry Christmas!

Hope you have a fabulous Christmas!

(Not my best sunset picture, don't judge.)

A Post With No Meaning

Sometimes, I sit down to type a post with true meaning, but it never comes out. It's mapped out in my head, jumbled between tomorrow's homework and today's unfinished tasks, it's just not on paper.

My mind is urging my hands to type something, I just don't know what it is. It's like the circuit between my fingers and brain has been cut, unbeknownst to me.

I guess the wanting of leaving a lasting impression on every single post is a ridiculous need, but truly what is the point of writing it then? To share your life?

Maybe to be creative then?

I for one most definitely use this blog for my bottled up creativity, ingenuity if you will. To allow others to see the world like me without being criticized by my peers, hence why I've chosen not to give my name.

I still have no rhyme or reason for this post except to share a few pictures, but I hope they were worth your time.

As another Sunday comes and goes, I hope it was enjoyed.

Thursday Photo Shoot

Today I did something that I had always wanted to start doing. I had a photo shoot. I took up photography.

The pictures are a little on the rough side and most of them didn't turn out as I had hoped, but considering the circumstances, I'm calling it a success.

The shoot lasted about fifteen minutes and out of the twenty some pictures, only a handful were truly blog worthy. I'm super excited to take up photography as it's something I've always been really interested in.

At the end of my shoot I had the privilege to get a few quick pictures of my neighbor's cat. She's quite the model if I do say so myself.

After about thirty minutes of editing, I traveled back outside to capture a couple of frames of the sunset. I even discovered that my camera could take panoramic pictures, although you can somewhat tell the three pictures apart if you look closely, but we'll ignore that for now.

Hopefully I'll grow better with practice, but I'm pretty satisfied with the pictures I captured today. I've got high hopes for another shoot tomorrow, so check back soon!

A Sunday Reflection

In my opinion, Sundays are for far more than just church. It's for doing things that you are too busy to do during the weekday, like painting your toenails:

Or trying out new outfits:

Or my personal favorite, homework that I left to do till the last day:

In reality, Sundays are meant for cherishing. You know that tomorrow will bring school or work, so you try to grasp onto every ounce of it that you can. You add a couple of extra words into your prayer, you hug a little tighter, your "I love you"s and "see you tomorrow"s seem to mean a little more, linger in the air a little longer.

Sundays are meant to be enjoyed.

Thanksgiving Sunset

Welcome to Sunsets and Sundays, my two favorite things. This is a blog compiled of pictures that I've acquired through my phone with snippets of writing and stories squeezed in between. Hope you enjoy.

The first of many.
