Trippin'

......road trippin' that is.

I absolutely love car rides. If I made a list of things I love, it'd probably go something like this:

1. Car Rides
2. Thunderstorms
3. Cute Underwear
4. Sunsets
5. Sundays

I love how the road moves fast, the trees and scenery move slow, and the sky is almost constant. I love how I can plug in my headphones and just think.

Sometimes I sit with my camera to the window and snap pictures of scenery. I watch as the landscape shifts from clusters of trees to rows of fields.

I watch people in their cars, studying their movements until we slowly depart by a change of lanes or difference in speeds.

I love when the interstate intersects with a town or city, providing a change of scenery. After hours of forests and farms, I'm mesmerized by the sight of civilization.

Anyways.

Have a fabulous Friday.

Almost Friday Phone Dump

I hope everybody had an amazing Christmas.

Tomorrow I will be leaving to ring in the new year at the beach, so I'm going ahead with the Friday Phone Dump. I'm planning on taking many pictures and I'll be posting them on my blog as soon as I get home.

We wont be returning until January 1st and unless I make posts from my phone, I probably wont be updating my blog.

So without further ado:

Make tomorrow fabulous.

Merry Christmas!

Hope you have a fabulous Christmas!

(Not my best sunset picture, don't judge.)

Changing Things Up

I know what ya'll are thinking. Why is there a sunrise on this post? Because it's common knowledge and totally obvious that this isn't a sunset.

I honestly haven't posted a sunset in a while and I feel like such a total slacker but all I have is this sunrise from Thursday. I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Hope you're having a fabulous day.

Friday Phone Dump

Yesterday I officially stepped over into the iPhone world. I traded my beloved droid of two years for a beautiful, shiny, precious, white iPhone (can you tell I'm in love?).

Now that I have a fairly good camera on my phone, I've decided to join the bandwagon full of Friday Phone Dump bloggers. If you're new to the concept, it's pretty much where every Friday you compile a collage of your latest pictures from the week. Because I've only had mine for a day, the collage only consists of four photos, but next weeks will be better.

Have a fabulous Friday.

P.S. Just saw the first snow of season. Super excited!!

Life is Good

I'm officially on Christmas break. I took my final EOC today and I'm done for the year, at least till 2013.

Not my favorite picture, but I loved that I found a ladybug so I had to post it.

I swear my neighbor's cat stalks me. Every time I'm outside she somehow knows it and finds me. I can't help but take some pictures of her. Maybe sometime I'll dedicate an entire post to her, but let's not get ahead of ourselves now.

Like I had mentioned in my last post, all my pictures are becoming the same. I swear I've taken at least fifty pictures of dandelions and my neighbor's cat. I need to go somewhere new and I promise I'm working on it.

Anyways.

Make tomorrow fabulous.

Titles Are for Losers

You know what amazes me? I can be outside for half an hour, capture fifty photos, and only ten or so are actually worth the trouble of editing. Then out of the fifty photos, only one or two, if I'm lucky, actually please me or make me think "Did I really take that?".

Sometimes I get back from a shoot and look at my pictures and find nothing that really stuns me. It's a defeated feeling, but then there's the complete opposite. Those days when you look at your pictures and just get this bursting feeling of accomplishment.

Today was one of those days.

Although today was very pleasing, I'm growing restless. My backyard has gotten somewhat boring and I feel as if I'm shooting the same things. My goal is to get outside more and to take my camera everywhere in hopes of finding a new place.

To say the least, I'm feeling very optimistic for the future. Hope you had a fabulous day.

My Almost-Christmas-Break

Happy Friday!

Today begins my almost-Christmas-break. Because of exams, I'm off today and next Tuesday and Wednesday, and then officially get off of school next Friday. You can expect many blog posts over the next couple of weeks since I'll have an almost completely clear schedule.

I went outside today with a dying camera and nearly full SD card, hoping to get some decent pictures.

Didn't really get any breath taking pictures or anything, but just figured I'd upload them anyways.

Hope you're weekend is fabulous and amazing and awesome and wonderful.

Long Time No See

It's been quite the week.

Just so you don't think I fell of the face of the Earth or anything, here's a couple of snippets I've acquired throughout my eight blog post-less days.

My camera has been quite irritating lately, (in case ya'll don't know, I have a simple camera that was less than a hundred dollars at Walmart, no fancy photographer camera or anything). Usually it does just fine, but I guess it decided to be a pain this week or something.

Anyways.

Hope this week is a fabulous one.

A Post With No Meaning

Sometimes, I sit down to type a post with true meaning, but it never comes out. It's mapped out in my head, jumbled between tomorrow's homework and today's unfinished tasks, it's just not on paper.

My mind is urging my hands to type something, I just don't know what it is. It's like the circuit between my fingers and brain has been cut, unbeknownst to me.

I guess the wanting of leaving a lasting impression on every single post is a ridiculous need, but truly what is the point of writing it then? To share your life?

Maybe to be creative then?

I for one most definitely use this blog for my bottled up creativity, ingenuity if you will. To allow others to see the world like me without being criticized by my peers, hence why I've chosen not to give my name.

I still have no rhyme or reason for this post except to share a few pictures, but I hope they were worth your time.

As another Sunday comes and goes, I hope it was enjoyed.

Embracing Weirdness

"You should all learn to embrace weirdness. That's the only way I've learned to love all of y'all."

Those are the heartfelt words of my first period teacher. He's my absolute favorite and quite the character.

While I was on a creative high, I started my photo shoot immediately after school, and I took his words to heart. I embraced weirdness. Maybe not in the sense he was referring to, but I went out on a limb. I snapped photos of what I had already dismissed as looking too bizarre. I brought out items from my room and placed them everywhere, clicking the shutter button as I went. Things that I would've considered far-fetched, looked absolutely amazing on camera.

This was my favorite picture from the shoot. The lighting
was just simply perfect.

I even got a visit from my new favorite model.

In the end, I started to run out of sunlight. I would start to think that I was done and as I began to edit pictures I'd have an idea and run back outside to capture more pictures. My mind was running so fast that I couldn't keep up.

There will definitely be another shoot this weekend.
